The Executive J.D. Stands Apart

More flexible than traditional programs,
more engaging than other hybrid J.D.'s.

Our Distinguishing Features

Quality of Content

Far beyond live-streaming lectures.

The Executive J.D. provides the same curriculum that our traditional on-campus law degree provides — just via part-time, blended delivery designed to fit around your busy schedule.

  • Our professionally produced and interactive video content has been designed to address a variety of learning styles.
  • Content includes recorded lectures and animated features, interactive discussion boards, reading and writing assignments, and engaging assessments.
  • Virtual learning is reinforced during on campus experiences among the same professors and classmates students engage with online.

Quality of Connections

Classmates to colleagues to friends.

Non-traditional, working professionals bring a deep level of experience to the program. Connections made in the virtual classroom are solidified during on-campus sessions.

  • Classmates interact through virtual chats, group assignments, and study groups, and often share transportation and housing during weekend campus visits.
  • Professors encourage dialogue and conversation in the classroom and welcome anecdotes from students’ personal experiences.
  • Faculty and staff make themselves available evenings and weekends to accommodate students' schedules.

Quality of Mission

A faith-based commitment to justice.

Lawyers from the Jones School of Law are seen as leaders who strengthen not only the legal system, but also the moral character of the communities they serve.

  • Faulkner Law prepares students to practice law with purpose.
  • As a Christian law school, we seek students who will not only succeed academically, but who also have a desire to use their legal degree to seek justice and serve their communities – wherever that may be.
  • Students can participate in pro bono clinics, advocacy and public interest programs, and take part in student organizations or community service projects.

Faulkner-quote-blueThe quality of instruction in the virtual classroom is great. The recorded lectures are professional and polished and interactions with my peers through online discussions are a great learning experience. Online resources through the library are accessible from anywhere. And the professors are always ready to meet with you in virtual office hours to assist."

Faulkner-quote-blueMy favorite part of my experience in the Executive J.D. schedule is seeing my classmates every two weeks for the in-person classes. During the week, we all study independently, but we come together during in-person weekends to study, catch up, and share notes. We all have such busy lives outside of this program, but we all come together twice a month and it’s an amazing experience."

Faulkner-quote-blue The best part of my experience in pursuing a legal degree is serving. Whether I am serving in different organizations, like the Student Bar Association, or serving the community through the Meals on Wheels route, I enjoy giving back. I love that Faulkner Law allows me to do so. This is not just an institution, it is a family. Pray about it, and let God lead you to your purpose."

A Message From the Dean

Charles B. Campbell

Dean & Associate Professor of Law

Charles-Campbell-23-circle"Seeking justice is about going beyond learning what the law is and learning about what the law should aspire to be and what it should try to do. We want you to see your career as an opportunity for service — to your clients, to the state in which you practice, and to the nation. We want that service to be rendered with the highest sense of professional ethics and morality, so that lawyers from Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law are seen as leaders who strengthen not only the legal system, but also the moral character of our state and nation."
